Bola Adeeko is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years cognate experience and a distinguished track record gained globally from high-ranking institutions. He started his illustrious career in the United States of America working for blue chip institutions like Sara Lee Corporation, First Data Corporation as well as JPMorgan Chase, where he rose to become Vice President, Global Trade Finance.
On his return to Nigeria, he joined The Nigerian Stock Exchange as Chief of Staff and Head, Corporate Service Division with oversight responsibility for a diverse portfolio of mission-critical areas of the business that included Administration, Corporate Communications, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, Government Relations, Human Resource, Security and Strategy departments. In 2017 he was seconded to the Central Securities Clearing System PLC (CSCS) as Interim CEO where he provided effective leadership, delivered strong top-line growth and enhanced operational efficiency.
Upon his return in January 2018, he was named Head, Shared Services Division at the NSE. In this role, Bola has been responsible for shaping the long-term technology agenda and driving innovation in administration, legal matters, corporate sustainability and brand marketing at The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Bola has proven expertise in developing effective business strategies; building new business relationships; and leading multi-disciplinary teams to produce quality and bespoke business solutions. His ability to effectively manage risks and stakeholders has produced verifiable results in the delivery of set corporate performance indices. He has established a reputation for turning around under-performing operations, products and client portfolios into profitability.
He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree, majoring in Finance & Marketing from Hood College, Maryland (USA) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, majoring in Accounting from Ogun State University, Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School and INSEAD at the executive and board education level as well an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
Bola is a lifetime member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria, a board member and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee of the IoD Centre for Corporate Governance and board member of the United Nations Global Compact Local Network.
Bola is a member of the Executive Committee of The Exchange and sits on the Boards of NSE Consult (a subsidiary of NSE) and NG Clearing (NSE Investee Company).
